These are wooden cabins set on the meadow, at the edge of the forest. In the morning it’s the light that wakes you, not the alarm. And if you sit still on the terrace, the forest sometimes sends you an antlered guest, who looks at you for a few moments and then moves on.
You’ll find us near Turceni, in the village of Călăparu, Borăscu commune — 61 km from Târgu Jiu and 64 km from Craiova, about an hour’s drive.
Căsuța Cerbului (the Stag’s Cabin) is a wooden cabin set on the meadow, at the edge of the forest. A 1.40 m double bed, a private bathroom with marble walls and a walk-in shower, warm light in the evening and the trails just a few steps away in the morning.
The roomier one in the row of cabins: a 1.60 m queen bed and large windows facing the forest. There’s room for a child under 6 as well, who stays as our guest.
